Everything a parent asks before booking a first haircut

Thirteen years behind the chair, and children's hair for most of them

Kenna managed busy adult salons before she and Anthony opened this one in November 2023. She works the sensory chair herself rather than handing it to someone else.
Question two

Who cuts my child's hair, and when are they in

Two stylists work here and they do not keep the same days. Check the chair you want before you pick a time.

Two stylists working at chairs in a modern salon.

Miss Kenna

Owner, and the sensory chair

Thirteen years styling, the last several of them on children. Works with kids who are shy, nonverbal or frightened, and does not rush a haircut that needs two sittings.

Monday11:00 am to 7:00 pm
Tuesday10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Wednesday11:00 am to 7:00 pm
Friday2:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Miss Halle

Second chair

Takes standard kids' cuts and the duo appointments. Her days cover the Tuesday afternoon and Saturday morning slots Kenna does not work.

Tuesday10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Friday10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Saturday10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Question three

What happens if my child will not sit still

Nobody is asked to leave

Plenty of children arrive already braced for it. The room is set up to give them somewhere else to look while the work happens.

  • The little ones sit in a ride-in car rather than a styling chair, at their own height.
  • Every station has a smart TV running whatever your child wants to watch.
  • The salon chairs have an Xbox with current games, so an older sibling waiting a turn is occupied.
  • A haircut can be finished across two visits if that is what it takes. There is no extra charge for coming back.
  • Bring the hat, the tablet, the blanket, the headphones. None of it is in the way.

Question four

How do sensory appointments work

These have their own hours and their own booking path. Read this part before you open the calendar.

Why they are separate

Sensory appointments are worked solo by Miss Kenna. The second chair is empty for them, so the room is quieter and there is no queue building behind you.

Sensory times are marked in blue on the booking calendar. Sensory Saturdays and Sensory Sundays were added in August 2025 to give families extra options outside the week.

An appointment booked outside those hours has to be rescheduled, which is why the booking type matters more than the note.

Booking one, in order

  1. Open the booking page and select Sensory Boy Haircut or Sensory Girl Haircut.
  2. Choose a time inside the sensory hours shown in blue on the calendar.
  3. For a sensory first haircut, book the sensory cut and mention the package in the notes rather than booking the package directly.
  4. If none of the marked times work for your family, call (816) 298-3404 and ask.
